Finding the right product for oily skin could be difficult, because with oily skin, trying to set makeup in place for a long time is very challenging. Having an oily skin means we have to be very careful on which product we are going to use. Based on my experience with makeup for the last 4-5 years – here is the list of 5 best makeup products for oily skin.

1. Laura Mercier – Translucent Loose Setting Powder

This is probably the best setting powder I have ever used. After using a foundation, take a beauty blender then blend and paste it all over your face. The result will be matte and definitely oil free. This setting powder does help to reduce the appearance of oil on your face and it could set your makeup in place up to 10 hours. This is very good for oily skin, especially for people that like matte finish look.

Positive side (+)

  • Oil Free
  • Matte Finish
  • Last up to 10 hours
  • Set your makeup in place

Negative side (-)

  • A little bit expensive

2. NARS – Radiant Creamy Concealer

NARS Concealer is my favorite concealer. I have used this concealer since I was 16 – and even until now, this is still my favorite concealer and the only concealer I always carry with me. This concealer does cover blemish or any mark on the face that want to be covered. At the same time, this concealer also very useful to cover dark circle under eyes (if you have one). This product also very friendly with oily skin. That is one of the main reason why I love this concealer. It is a little bit expensive but this concealer is worth having.

Positive side (+)

  • High level of coverage
  • Convenient packaging
  • Friendly for oily skin
  • Cover blemish and dark circle

Negative side (-)

  • A little bit expensive

3. Rimmel London – Stay Matte Pressed Powder

This is my current favorite powder. Rimmel London Powder gives a touch-up look for the face after makeup. This product is good for oily skin. It is convenient and you could carry this anywhere you go for touching up. The best part is, this product is very affordable. It only cost around 5 pounds-sterling and you can easily find this product in a drug store.

Positive side (+)

  • Set your makeup in place
  • Convenient packaging
  • Last up to 3 hours
  • Very affordable

Negative side (-)

  • The packaging is convenient but very easy to break

4. Benefit – The POREfessional Face Primer

This one is my favorite product. Benefit pore professional primer is the best primer for oily skin. I have used this since I was 16 – and until now, I still can not find any other primer that has a quality as great as this one. It absorbs oil on the skin and definitely protects your skin from the foundation.

Positive side (+)

  • Oil free
  • Help to set your foundation in place
  • Last up to 12 hours
  • Support matte finish look

Negative side (-)

  • A little bit expensive

5. Laura Mercier - Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer

This tinted moisturizer is really good for people that are still young and want to use make up every day – or for the people that prefer a natural finish look. The reason is that the result of this tinted moisturizer is not strong, but it does full coverage – and at the same time (because it’s a moisturizer) it will moisturize your skin. This moisturizer also oil free, thus it will absorb oil on the face. This is something that I use every day to any lectures, something that only for daily basis.

Positive side (+)

  • Moisturize your skin while giving a full coverage
  • Convenient packaging
  • Last up to 5 hours

Negative side (-)

  • A little bit expensive
  • Because it’s not a foundation – it doesn’t give a total finish look like a foundation and does not stay in place as long as the others “high street foundation”.
