Valentina started her blog in her first year of university as a creative outlet, simply because she enjoyed writing. Alongside that, she developed a strong interest in photography, creating high-quality visual content for her social media.

After about a year and a half, her Instagram account (now @valentinalauraen) began to grow steadily. Through this, she built strong relationships within the online blogging community and started to be approached by brands for collaborations. It was at this point she realised the importance of having her own platform—something that fully belonged to her, rather than relying on a hosted blog.

In 2017, valentinalaura.com was officially born.

Since then, Valentina has worked with a range of brands on partnerships and collaborations, including NA-KD Fashion, Ideal of Sweden, Richmond & Finch, Soufeel Jewellery, Happy Socks, Cocoa Locks, Photowall, Solvaderm, Pommery Champagne, and Orphica, among others.
At the beginning, valentinalaura.com was very much a personal blog, centred around travel, lifestyle, fashion, and beauty. Between 2016 and 2017, she travelled to multiple countries to create content.

While travelling can look like a holiday from the outside, blogging came with a lot of work behind the scenes—carrying heavy equipment, finding the right locations, working with timing and natural lighting, thinking about safety, and managing the financial side of it all. She saw these experiences as long-term investments, and over time, the blog naturally became a form of diary and reflection.

In 2020, valentinalaura.com was restructured to become more audience-focused, moving away from purely personal content. The platform shifted towards writing impartial, non-sponsored articles across topics such as entrepreneurship, politics, well-being, living abroad, higher education, and fashion.

In 2022, Valentina followed a new creative pull into the performing arts, reconnecting with her childhood dreams. As her focus shifted, the blog is currently on hold (not active).
